NTEU280 had a booth a the 2013 HQ Walk to Wellness event held by the agencies at Federal Traingle, including EPA, USAID, and CBP. Members and visitors who stopped by the NTEU280 table were treated to healthy snacks, including fruit and nut bars and organic apples. It was a perfect day for a walk around the Ellipse.
The Walk to Wellness was originally slated for May, but was rescheduled (due to a scheduled, outside protest in the vicinity of Federal Triangle) to June. Despite the rescheduling of the event, participation was high. The Surgeon General attended. A good, and healthy time, was had by all.
